Here is a fine and exceptionally well-preserved Patek Philippe vintage lady’s jewellery wristwatch, Ref. 4138/1, 18K white gold, Case no. 2754396, Movement no. 1272118, bezel set with 40 baguette-cut diamonds weighing approximately 3.0 ct., powered by the manually wound Calibre 16-250 movement with 18 jewels, 18K white gold integrated bracelet, accompanied by an Extract from the Archives, original box, and original tag. The watch is in brand-new condition.
 
Manufactured in 1974 and sold on August 18, 1975, this particular Golden Ellipse remains one of the most memorable pieces I've ever owned.
 
Set in an 18K white gold case, the watch is distinguished by a bezel adorned with baguette-cut diamonds, an unusual configuration for a vintage Patek Philippe ladies' watch. Paired with the iconic metallic blue sunburst dial, it captures the understated elegance that defines the best Golden Ellipse designs.
 
What impressed me most, however, was its state of preservation. Having been serviced by Patek Philippe, the watch remained exceptionally well preserved throughout. The case, bracelet and dial all showed a level of freshness that felt extraordinary for a piece more than fifty years old.
 
While researching the watch with Patek Philippe's archives team, I came across an interesting detail: The diamonds were selected according to the original owner's personal preferences, although no further details were provided. It speaks to a level of personalization rarely seen today.
 
Its completeness was equally remarkable. The original presentation box, tag, caseback service sticker and quality control card were all retained, such details that are often lost over decades of ownership.
 
The watch found its new owner in summer 2025. I still think about it from time to time.

根据百达翡丽档案馆调取的官方记录，这支Golden Ellipse Ref. 4138/1制作于1974年，并于1975年8月18日售出。优雅的椭圆形表壳外围镶嵌着一圈法棍切割钻石，这种钻石切割形式在百达翡丽古董女表中尤为少见，搭配了最经典的蓝色日辉纹表盘，在白金与钻石的映衬下，更显隽永的美感。
 
整支表由百达翡丽官方保养，品相令人惊叹。无论表壳、表链还是表盘，都展现出极佳的保存状态，很难相信这是一支诞生于半个世纪前的作品。
 
在与百达翡丽档案部门沟通的过程中，我还了解到一个颇具趣味的细节：这支腕表所镶嵌的钻石曾依据原表主的个人偏好进行挑选，至于究竟涉及钻石品质、尺寸还是总重量，官方并未进一步透露，但也正因为如此，让这枚腕表多了一份专属于那个时代高级定制珠宝腕表的独特气质。
 
除了近乎无可挑剔的品相之外，它的附件保存同样完整：原装表盒、原始吊牌、底盖保养贴纸以及质检卡均悉数留存。对于一枚五十年前的百达翡丽而言，这样的完整度实属难得。
 
2025夏天，这支腕表已经找到了她的新主人。对于收藏而言，拥有固然令人欣喜，但有些珍藏即使离开了，也依然会被长久记住。
