Up for sale is a vintage Patek Philippe lady’s wristwatch, Ref. 4505/1, 18K yellow gold, Case no: 2789418, Movement no: 1405131, gilt dial with matte finish, the intersecting grooves of guillochage form a patina of endlessly varied motifs to catch and reflect the light, 4/4 diamond hour markers, manual movement, integrated woven bracelet stamped JPE, comes with an extract from the archives and an original box, the watch is in excellent condition.
 
This is a vintage Patek Philippe from 1982. While the Guilloché dial is certainly captivating, one particular element truly draws me in is the “cathedral hands.” These hollowed-out, diamond-shaped hands are reminiscent of Gothic architecture, characterized by long pointed arches, ribbed vaults, spires and intricate detailing. They exude a deep sense of history and craftsmanship. This is why many modern timepieces, especially vintage-inspired models, continue to feature cathedral hands for their distinctive yet understated charm - elegant, refined, and rich in heritage.
