Here is an exceptional Piaget jewellery timepiece, Ref. 9706 B68, 18K yellow gold, case no. 307710, movement no. 7807772, the bezel is elegantly set with 36 diamonds, framing a striking black opal dial without indexes, allowing the natural play of color to take center stage, ultra-thin manual movement 9P2, integrated B68 bracelet meticulously hand-chased to evoke the texture of leopard fur. The watch is preserved in excellent condition, making it a rare and highly desirable collector’s piece.
This was my own vintage Piaget opal dial wristwatch. The deep blue-green opal, nocturnal and pure in tone, felt like a miniature world of its own - quiet on the surface, yet alive with subtle movement beneath.
The bracelet was slightly short for my wrist. So I passed it on to a collector who has been acquiring vintage watches from me for seven years. With her slimmer wrist, the fit was just right. The joy she felt upon receiving it, and the way she now cherishes it, brought me a deep sense of happiness and quiet fulfillment.
