Up for sale is an exceptional antique Tiffany & Co. ladies’ pendant watch, crafted in platinum and 18K yellow gold. The back case is adorned with translucent guilloché enamel over a finely engine-turned ground, framed by an elegant platinum filigree border and set with old-cut diamonds. It measures 28 mm in diameter and is powered by a Longines manually wound movement, Cal. 10.85N, bearing serial number 2277711, circa 1910, this pendant watch is presented in remarkable, near-new condition, a rare and highly collectible example of early 20th-century horological and jewelry artistry.
 
This is a Tiffany & Co. antique ladies’ pocket watch from over a century ago. Inside beats a Longines hand-wind movement, produced during the golden age of pocket watchmaking, featuring 17 jewels and adjustment to five positions. The watch is fitted with blued Arabic numeral hour markers and a recessed small seconds subdial, all beautifully balanced in classic period style. Both the enamel and the dial are preserved in extraordinary, near-museum condition, appearing as though they have just left the workshop. The watch is accompanied by its original box and a later-issued archive certificate.The previous collector once said:“The dial face looks like the day it was made. I have owned a lot of jewelry and hated to see this one go.”
 
A little-known fact: during the golden age of pocket watches, Longines stood among the very finest movement makers of its time.
