Up for sale is an elegant Vacheron Constantin jewelry wristwatch, 18K white gold, Model 18738, case no. 504879, movement no. 647708, original 16 Marquise-cut diamonds set on the bezel, back-wind slim Cal. 7’”-1430 manual movement, an Extract from the Archives confirms crafted in 1977—the year of Vacheron Constantin’s 222nd Anniversary, accompanied by its original presentation box and remaining in excellent overall condition.
 
 A personal favorite from the 1970s: a Vacheron Constantin that’s luxurious without being shouty. The bezel is encircled by imposing marquise‑cut diamonds, and the impossibly fine, integrated woven gold bracelet fits comfortably on the wrist, the bracelet is entirely free of solder joints—a level of craftsmanship rarely seen today. A French eagle’s head hallmark on the clasp confirms it was made in a French atelier (see photo 12).
 
The 1970s are my preferred era for Vacheron ladies’ pieces: They combine the jewelled opulence reminiscent of Piaget with the quiet restraint of Patek Philippe. Over the years I’ve built a substantial collection from this era.

1970年代的江诗丹顿女表是我最偏爱的一个时期，既有可与伯爵一较高下的奢华珠宝感，又保留了百达翡丽的内敛气质，我自己收藏了这一时期的几十支作品。
